Digital File Archiving
This business idea has been floating around my head for a while. Our society is ill-prepared to store and sort today’s information for the future. Unless Google has found a way to save everything that’s ever been on their servers for perpetuity, we’re going to need some serious leadership to start archiving for the future. With all of the personal electronic technology we have at our disposal, we owe it to the future who, how, and why we were.
I would like to start with the Bainbridge Island Historical Committee. I would like to audio record different age groups on the island. Interview the very oldest first, then the very youngest, then the seniors, then the kids, then the middle-agers, then the teens, and so on.
I could also do a digital storage class, and suggest that people sign-up for my server space service.
